JUNE AUTO 2006 - BMW M6 2007 -

BMW M6 2007 Front

-- FRESH OFF THE SHOWROOM FLOOR -- The much anticipated release of the BMW M6 occurred a few months ago, and many on staff here have been anxiously awaiting its arrival on the streets. With our first official spotting last week, it seemed like the time was right to devote a little more attention to this fine specimen. The 2007 BMW M6 roars onto streets with mean styling, beautiful wheels and a V-10 that powers this monster to great speeds. BMW M6 Engine

What does one look for in a sports car? Is it purely the look? The sound of the engine as you hit the red zone? Maybe it’s the way that it feels when you pull up at the curb to pick up your date for the evening. If someone had to hunt to ends of the earth searching for a car that embodied all three of these qualifiers, they’d be hard pressed to find a better match than the new M6. There’s something aggressively classic about it. If one could envision the emotions of the car, it seems like she would feel right at home slowly cruising up to a restaurant or doing 120mph down a highway at 3 am. Savage!

BMW M6 Back Driving

The old M6 was far from the runt of the litter, equipped with a 3.5-litre V6 generating a strong 286 horsepower. Pop the hood and take a look. The modernized version is powered by a V-10 engine that help speed the car to 60mph in 4.4 seconds. One enthusiast who wrote us prior to this piece claims that the new M6 could comfortably reach 200 mph is it wasn’t electronically limited.

M6 BMW Sepang Bronze 2007

What about the colors?? It’s a known fact that BMW always makes some special colors for their legendary M line of autos. The staff favorite here at Whipwork.com is BY FAR the Sepang bronze pictured on the site. In our eyes this color is not only vicious but elegant, a mix that in many ways embodies the character of the car. So who’s up for a game of pin the tail on the 6?

Our aim is to document cars once they hit the streets, so people accross America have an idea what's being driven in our corner of the world ~ Hope you enjoy!
